Making Deneb a bit cooler
okay so looking at the deneb stats you would almost believe it is active. there are sercos playing (i know... what?)
deneb doesn't really offer a lot of cool things right now. so i want to suggest a few things that may make this a little cooler for now, so people got a reason to go there.
1. The way to Deneb.
one thing that is stupidly annoying is always flying from grey to deneb etc.
instead of making new WHs like people have suggested, make a new military mission for all people signed up for military that let's you insta warp to deneb. explain this with some new super-cool technology.
to make sure this isn't abused, let people only warp there in ECs - or warp them from inside a station to another without taking the ship along. that way no one can exploit this to move stuff.
2. Serco station in deneb
by now all of the itani (atleast the sane ones) have been bored enough to agree that the serco get the short stick in deneb. to fix this a tiny bit, finally give the serco a station up there. the WH sector to Geira is a good idea. serco could have planted a defended outpost there
3. The prizes of Deneb
tell ya the truth... what you get for winning deneb except for bragging rights is nothing. yeah there are a few blockades here and there but it needs to be cooler.
there is ctc on travel all the time and they attack people with bad standing. why not extend it?
after winning deneb, for the next week there are nation-squadrons flying through grey space who patrol from one WH to another and attack all people with bad standing.
so lets say serco wins week 1 - in week 2 there are flying sqaudrons of serco ships around all the time who attack itani pilots flying through grey. itani win week 2 - week 3 the serco are being chased by mad npc valks.
4. comfort for the pilots in deneb
the people in deneb need more than just their ship cost replaced. the stations should replace every ship lost during actively participating in a fighter skirm and all weaponry. so regardless of what you used; you get it back. of course this ruins the market for avalons but it also saves a lot of time for the people. no one wants to fly stuff up and down. people want to war up there and they should.

5. Add a UIT base on both sides (One in the Itani Side of Deneb and one on the Serco Side of Deneb)
#1 is an interesting idea, so... from an Itani station in jallik, an Itani military members can take a mission to jump on a special transport to Deneb barracks? Likewise for Serco in Initros? With a transport option back to Intros or Jallik for each nation? I'd +1 that. But I'd -1 transports from other places.
#2 I'll let those who fight in deneb discuss this one
#3 +1... I like this idea too

So far Deneb is one of the most redundant parts of the game for me. I mean sure, the novelty of watching explosions everywhere and facepalm now and again when a lone trident decides it can take down a HAC is fun. But when that runs out? Why on Earth would I ever go to Deneb? The battles are repetitive and never have any other players in them. The rewards are terrible- you get more weapons and combat xp for hive skirmishes which a so much more accessible, and the pay for winning a Large Skirmish is mediocre at best, seeing as it takes at least an hour if you participate from the start.
Not only all of that but I need to travel for half an hour just to get there? Ahem, no.
-1 to the UIT bases.
A NEUTRAL nation does not just decide to build two stations in a warzone plus there is absolutely no benefit to doing that anyway. UIT members can dock at Itani and Serco stations remember? Plus having UIT members in the Serco military, meaning they cannot dock in Deneb, would be resolved through suggestion #3.

+1 to #1, specifically to the in-station teleport that doesn't involve ships in any way. Also, I would strongly prefer that to be something only available from that nation's stations; ideally, only the barracks stations.
+1 to #2. The fact that this has been neglected for so long (six years?) is rather disgusting.
-1 to #3. Better motivation for victory is needed, certainly. Dirtying greyspace with a bunch of nationalist NPC thugs is not the solution. How about if instead of attacking greyspace, sufficient levels of victory initiated raids on the frontier systems of the enemy nation?
-1 to #4. This change would be unfair to the traders, who already have precious few ways to be useful as it is.
-1 to RMJ. That's just silly.

There have been many threads which boil down to "Please make deneb a big war in which player contributions matter and we can all have fun shooting stuff"
Yes, please make it so.
Yes, please make it so.
History repeats itself once again
#1 +1, Maybe just a shortcut to set your home at the war front barracks.
#2 -1, I'd rather see conquerable stations in Deneb.
by now all of the itani (atleast the sane ones) have been bored enough to agree that the serco get the short stick in deneb.
Nope, I still disagree here. We have to fly past a ~5km sparse asteroid field to reach jump distance from Deneb O-3.
#3 +1 to better prizes. Honestly, the wormhole blockades would be a lot cooler if they weren't BROKEN. NPC fighters rarely if ever attack and the capships glitch back to the center of the sector when the sector sleeps.
#4 -1 I don't think the station should be responsible for reimbursing players for items it doesn't sell. The buyback compensation does need a bit more clarity. It doesn't even tell you when you're reimbursed for a ship.
#5 wat?
