May 26, 2015 Muansi link
How about adding a option for player who want the real deal an option located in the HUD menu to turn on a cockpit view?
Not the standard view as we have now but whit the visuals of really sitting in one.
And afcourse i understand sins this is a mobele game its not easy to add.
So i'll ask add it ass an option,
to turn on and of.
Oh and sins you brought this game available for mobel devices, you probably know some of your opponents like for inst ins galaxy on fire.
Wye do i mangen this cause docking bay i love feeling like im really there cause i love Space Sims.
So what do i mean whit docking bay, seeing your ship standing in a docking bay.
If you what some inspiration about that just look at galaxy on fire 1/2 please take this in consideration?

THX For reading:)

I will try to re-phrase:

"For players who really want a truly immersive experience, how about adding an option to toggle a cockpit view in the HUD?
Not the first person view we have now but a proper experience with all of te features of a real cockpit. Of course I understand that this will be hard to implement since it is a mobile game (incorrect, this is a pc game ported to mobile). So i suggest making it an option with the ability to toggle.

Of course, i think since this game is on mobile that you know about your competitor Galaxy on Fire?

I would also like a docking bay view, with the ability to see your own ship inside the docking bay for even more immersion."

That what you mean Muansi?

Pretty much yea:)

Yeah, there's a first-person view and a free camera view in there too. Just keep doing /viewtoggle until you find the one you want.

Yea but ther isn't a cockpit view here is a picture to show you what i mean http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Shodan_AI/media/Demon-1.jpg.html

The first person view is a cockpit view. Our cockpits are zero-g spherical rooms covered in a curved spherical screen on which the view from the ship's hull cameras is projected, along with a HUD. :P

Or more realistically, all pilots wear virtual reality goggles and/or jack in directly to the camera feeds.

Seriously, do you think people in the year 4000 are going to be flying ships where the physical structure of the ship blocks 60% of their view? (Yes, I get it; rule of cool.)

It would take a while to implement anyway and wouldnt add enough to warrant the effort, as according to the backstory, Serco pilots sometimes dont even pilot their ships and when they do, probably just "plug" themselves in due to their high number of augmentations. Itani pilots on the otherhand, probably wouldnt even have a cockpit as such, just a Vismetal room, since they can actually control their ship with their mind.

Yeah, our HUD doesn't have some random guy's legs on it.

You could try this plugin though. http://kitchen.nfshost.com/ven/plugins/#tapehud

Blah blah, my immersion, etc.

If you need to rationalize the HUD as it is, consider that you still get to play the game after your ship has exploded. I think Pizza's reply will help you imagine that in the year 4000, do you really think people will be piloting their own spacecraft? Spacecraft that can malfunction, explode, get lost, accidentally warp into an ion storm full of bots. Think of it as your drone that you pilot with a VR headset.

Also, this game is not a space sim. Space sims are boring...

"Space sims are boring..."

That is a matter of opinion.

Well what Pizzasgood
described makes alot of sence but now the second thing of my post docking station ever played galaxy on fire 1/2 station whit simple interface but stil you feel like your in that station look it up. when i dock in a station in this game a screen pops up which you can open any time by pressing n only diffrence is that you to be in a station to get acces to there futures but when you are in a station you'r not actually in it but your flooting outside oh and as foor pizzahood about the ships when i look at the models of the ships i see cockpits little rooms for pilets behind black windows just saying nice story but the ship models don't seem to act like it.

Yeah Muansi, quite alot of the backstory clashes a bit with the gameplay.

Also, I do kinda like the idea of an animated dockscreen. Unfortunately, the station interface in VO is a lot more complicated than in Galaxy on Fire and was not designed for mobile either, so that would mean a complete rehaul and simplification of the docking screen.
