Subscriber only channel
100 gets too cluttered with newbs and android kids asking others out on dates.
Perhaps make 100 a subscriber only channel, and make 90 or 99 the channel newbs are told to join after training.
Especially if this is going to get worse, the clutter on 100 is going to be horrendous.

It was fine today until you started spam-insulting the newbies and accusing them of inappropriate... things.
Also: -1
Instead of excluding the newbies and giving them more of the feeling that they better not get interfered with the business of those mighty veterans in their big ships, better see if there can be some chat moderation at the peek times atleast.

-1 to the op
But, change the op to lock kierky's accounts to channel 99. We'd all know where to find him when we'd like.

anal sex.
^^^^^^ Really? so my alternative proposal may also increase player retention.

If you don't like general chat, feel free to leave it and make your own channel.

-1 to the OP. That doesn't mean I disagree entirely that with enough active players 100 as a universal channel will become so overwhelmed as to make it impossible to have a conversation. I'm guessing this is why the seldom used system chat was introduced a while back.
I don't think segregating players based on subscription type or inexperience is good for the game overall.

As much as I was annoyed at them (they were talking about raping Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash! How dare they!), I also think it would be bad for the game.
We just hit a perfect storm of conditions where there were a bunch of school-age newbs, few vets, and so on. Heh.. some of the vet conversations are no fun for them some times :)

/ignore and /vote mute are our friends. For bonus points: hunt them down and kill them until they go away.
There should be a /vote show location command, where if it gets enough votes a robot follows them and announces their location.
No, there shouldn't.
+1, Saturday morning I added at least 10 spamming idiot kids to my ignore list for pretended 100 was a halo 3 lobby. Sunday I left 100.
/ignore "player name" and /leave channel ### are your friends
I do the best I can to moderate chat when I am on, but it is not healthy or physically possible for myself or any of the other guides to maintain a 24/7 online presence.
