Ad purpose to Deneb
Ad purpose to Deneb other then shooting stuff.
Each win or set of wins lets say 10 wins gets you something like construction credit, not the same as the game creds.
Construction credits would be use to purchase built Trident parts outright no hauling but a finished component.
Or perhaps 20 wins, or more good for construction credits. Certainly don't make it easy but at least a nugget for winning a square or something.

-1. Ads have no place in this game.
Also, getting "construction credits" for participating in Debeb is just plain stupid. I'm all for having the NPC capital ships drop parts, but abstracting it away and letting you avoid the need to move the parts? No.

If "Construction Credits" were added, the game wouldn't be a Twitch-Based game anymore. It'd be a "Race-to-build-a-ship" game. The devs don't that to happen. And Deneb is for COMBAT and WEAPON lisences, perhaps you don't see it yet.

Some would have you believe that it IS a race-to-build-a-ship game. Many of TGFT's 21 tridents are completely inactive because of this belief.
-1 to the OP. Effortless trident parts? Really? without any hauling? At least give some the opportunity to grab the part, but then all capships should drop parts, not just the Deneb ones.
Ore... I completely agree. That seems to be the end game for many players. I also don't think it's limited to TGFT. This is because it's the one tangible thing that changes in game... for weeks/months you don't have a trident, then forever you do. And, it is a considerable advantage. I think once the new tridents come out or player built stations, we'll have many TGFT tridents come back to build the next built objects.

Oh, I'll definitely be back on my main once there is more content for tridents. I don't think the soon to be introduced trident docking at capital stations will qualify in my book though. It will be great to have, but I'm honestly not excited about it as far as expecting it to add in the way of content.
While I oppose the OP, I don't think it was meant to be effortless- just poorly thought out. The much better idea is to have the cap ships drop parts.
I think that perhaps the reason this hasn't been introduced is to not create a situation that allows players to game the system. In any given medium through battle mission, there are going to be any number of capital ships destroyed with no or negligible help from the participant(s). Under the current drop system, as long as the player does some damage to the ship, then the ship will drop once destroyed. It would be too easy to sit in the sector and launch some missiles at the cap ship once the teradon has dropped the shields and then wait. If the damaged ship is of ones own nation, then they can sit in the sector in a moth waiting for the ship to blow up and collect the drop in relative safety. This creates a perversion of incentives in the missions. Don't get me wrong, I still whole heartedly support part drops once this problem is solved.

Go make an Itani or Serco character, take a Border Skirmish mission, then go sit still in a 'moth and see how long it takes before an enemy fighter blows you up.
-1 to OP
+1 to a chance that destroyed capships drop a low-tier part like Fused Composite Plating or Fluid Formable Silksteel Alloy

I have both Itani and Serco characters and have played enough missions in Deneb to know that the area around one's nations capital ships and particularly behind them, is generally safe enough to to sit perfectly still in a rag so that you can line up an avalon bombing run on an enemy cap ship generally unmolested by enemy fighters. I probably should have been more specific about the ships positioning in relation to docking and safer spaces around the capital vessels.
Regardless, that was said merely to illustrate my theory as to why the fantastic idea of having trident part drops in Deneb missions has not been introduced. I suppose that these days, nationalist players could sit by in their tridents (none of mine currently have tridents because I am f-ing sick of building) and accomplish the same even more easily.

Lets hear from the 10k new players per month if they like it; and what is the point of Deneb again ?
I forgot already.

"and what is the point of Deneb again ?"
You seriously need to ask this question? It should be self evident. Anyway, it was answered years ago.
Maybe you should stop whining and get to work?
