Ship dropping (aka ship trading)
here's an easy way to roll out ship trading without much talk. it should cover all the problems there are to it.
what to do:
- enable the possibility to drop ships from cargo hold again
- fix the bug that formerly caused dropped&picked ups ships to be unusable
- make all ships except the Behemoth XC 200 cu as cargo and lower
- make it impossible to drop nation specific ships (valks, proms and raptors) no debating here. exclusivity is wanted. don't discuss it and just take it as it is.
solution for the f2p problem that incarnate saw (f2pers being able to bypass the crystal system by buying from full subbed peeople):
- make dropping ships available from combat 5 (solution A)
- charge the crystal before the ship is used the first time (solution B by draugath)
done.

Really? For many people here, that's the whole point of player ship trading. It was discussed that ships acquired through player trading should have a very high price tag attached, for example getting an instant KOS with the faction under question if you're caught flying a "smuggled" ship.
Go back to the drawing board, kiddo.

Edit: The only reason to have ship trading would be to allow players access to the proms, valks and udvs. There is bugger all reason to trade generic ships that players can get with sufficient levels and standing. There is a reason you can't buy those with f2p- that reason being that you're not PAYING!

What about your suggestion is "easy"?
"make it impossible to drop nation specific ships (valks, proms and raptors) no debating here. exclusivity is wanted. don't discuss it and just take it as it is."
This statement is simply false. Incarnate has already said that he doesn't have a problem with people trading faction ships in the black market. What is not wanted is for Joe McSerco to waltz into Edras and buy Valks directly from the station, since obviously that would be silly nonsense. Here are the specific quotes:
"So, I definitely want to have a black market, and I want player construction of "everything" if possible."
"On a pure gameplay level, I am not opposed to some level of player-to-player ship trade, but there would be quite a few factors to make the process of acquisition challenging and perhaps risky (nation borders, convoys and patrols opening fire on "black-market" acquired military ships?). Etc."
Clearly he wants buying a faction ship through the black market to be dangerous, not impossible.

"...no debating here."
Looks like you were wrong about that. There's lots of debate over the subject of nation specific ships. In fact, that's the whole point of being able to trade ships.
Who the heck want's to buy a 200cu valk 3 from a player?
