Reduce grid power on basic ion/phase/plas blasters to 2
In tandem with this thread, I suggest reducing the grid power on the basic ion, phased, and plasma blasters (mk I, II, and III where applicable, as well as the Training Blasters and Hive Ion blaster) to 2. The Plasma Cannon HX, TPG Sparrow and Orion XGX Phased blasters I would reduce to 3.
Yes I agree but unless there is some serious Power Cell overhaul (I mean ALL of them, not just the High Drain variants), this is rather pointless.
Since all energy weapons (bar the WM & Raven) have a grid of 4 and the most amount of ports on any ship is 5, it never exceeds the 20 standard grid for every power cell. And let's be honest, no-one puts Ravens or WM's on a Rag.

Gauss Cannon MkIII also has 8 grid.
So do the Plasma Annihilator and Gatling Cannon HV.
The widowmaker is grid 17, so that you can not fit another weapon on the grid. If people can fit a widowmaker and a TPG sparrow, they will, and this is actually a dangerous combination.
I am not outright opposing the suggestion, I am just pointing out that it may have some significant ramifications.

The Widowmaker's grid is 18.
As of right now, the only addons with less than 4 grid are telemetry or countermeasures. We need more reasons to sacrifice a weapon for a scanner or radar extender, not less.

It would be interesting to see the grid power of Repair Modules reduced though. That would allow some interesting configurations for support ships.

Nobody but newbs use those first blasters you mentioned and newbs don't care about grid. The other ones (HX, sparrow, etc) are fine as is.
