/ignore could be abused against those who just fulfill their role. I've never seen a real troll last more than 48 hours in vo, so /ignore doesn't need to last longer than that.

It's annoying to ask players on 100 to pass on a gf to an enemy that has you on ignore because you are an effective enemy.

An ignore is a personal choice. It's not like a /vote mute. If this became a thing, I'd have to make a lua script to update the ignore every time i logged on, and that is just stupid.

Who the fuck do you think you are? /ignore is a means of controlling what one does or doesn't see, and has no other effect on the character /ignore-ed. If that troubles your bleeding little heart, kindly go fist yourself with a mace.
