In the past, a lot of people have switched names of their characters. While this is not only a good RP move and seeds confusion among the playerbase about who is who and cuases funny assumptions, I think it offers the devs a possibility to get some extra ressources.

My proposal:

Allow changing of character names for 5$ per change! Pay-able by using the usual paying methods (PayPal etc.).

+1 Automate it so that devs don't have to be involved in the transaction.

I'd prefer name changes to be denied with few exceptions (name turns out to be misspelled, offensive, or too similar to existing names).

Name changes do not make the devs more money. Making and levelling an alt for several months does. If you burn your bridges, you should have to deal with the consequences

+1. This would definitely bring the devs more money. It would indeed sow confusion, but it would also make things more interesting. Perhaps it could be limited to once every months per account. And why not charge $10? Paying for an extra month to change your name is reasonable.

For $10 you should be able to change someone else's name.

ONE has initiated a kickstarter to rename Ancient Panther to "Shitty Kitty". We figure Incarnate can be bought for 1000.00 bucks.

He'd probably do it himself for just 100.00. I would.
