Make hive queens capturable
No, not all of them, just the ones that spawn to defend the Levi. It should require a special l port addon draftable in Corvus or a conq station. Then the queen must be flown to Lagos m7 appearing hostile to all players and NPCs. There a mission to rebuild the queen core must be completed before you can continue to fly it. I suggest two l ports and one s port, no turrets and 500 cu cargo. Docking only by owner, max two ships.
Critical Skirmish queens might be a better choice (with capture ending the skirmish the same as destruction). With Central queens, they just keep re-spawning, which means you could farm them for infinite queens. I suspect the devs would find that undesirable. Using Crit queens instead ensures that missions are being completed (and increases the odds that bots will defend the queen successfully). Yes, Critical Skirmishes do come back eventually, but far less frequently than the Levi's queens.
+1 to capturable and pilotable hive queens
-1 to the suggested implementation
Require the player to have a Queen Defensive Matrix and Queen Processor Core(I think this exists iirc) in order to complete the capture and assume control.

It should also require lowering the queen's health significantly, and the actual capture projectile fired at it should have a red upper hemisphere and a white lower hemisphere.
-1 to a blatant attempt to finding an easy and lazy way out of manufacturing a trident.
For this to be acceptable, the shield generator must be broken and irreparable upon capture, as well as having lower armor than the original hive queen.

Obviously you have never farmed hive queens for rare drops.
There is also a very substantial difference between the manufactured trident which is insured and the hive queen which is not. And while I don't know what the exact hold capacity of a queen is, I am quite confident that it is substantially less than that of a trident, it has no turrets, but does have more useful port weapons.
In order to use the queen in the future, the player must refire the projectile and utter the phrase "%capturedqueen% I choose you!". After which the queen will reappear in a flash of light allowing the player to dock with the queen and take control.

You guys have this backwards. The hive is supposed to capture YOUR ship!

LOL Fluffy, I vote for this only if players will have to buy a wizards wand, cape and a hat from GuildSoftware prior to saying those words.

Oh, I forgot to put in that the l port addon for capture should only be usable inside the queen. You can get in between the engines. Its fairly tricky.
Yeah, the crit skirm idea is good too, however I don't think it would be all that easy to farm the Levi queens, remember you would have to fly the thing to m7 after you caught it.

Nah. It is extremely easy to fly up the queens dock.
Cargo space should not be 500. Maybe between 300 & 400 max.
And no flying to M7 required unless one wants to dock it.

So you'd shoot it with the capture thing and then dock? Would you have to have the queen core and defensive matrix in the hold of your ship to replace the "broken" ones or not?
Not necessarily in the hold. I would leave the implementation up to the devs.
However, I would suggest that both would be needed in some way in order to take control after it has been deshielded and it's armor dropped to below 10%. They would have to be consumed by the attempt so that future queen captures require new drops. Having them in the cargo hold could work like docking to a station completes a mission or it could require that the parts be used to manufacture a device that gets automatically installed when used.

-1 to coming across shielded ships as I fly around even though I like the idea of hauling my stuff in a shielded ship. We need a more efficient way to find and hunt ships in the vastness of space before this is implemented beyond hopping through each individual sector in a system.
If this were implemented, the hive queen should be KOS at every station, even corvus, except for conquerable stations that you posses a key. No entering Nation space with it (unless maybe you have a team to kill the pursuing sf in an empty sector as you go through each wh).

+1. It's a fucking hive queen; people are going to shoot first and wonder why it had a friendly IFF tag later. Maybe the hive figured out how to impersonate people, or ate their friend, or something.

Use the Queen Parts to make something called the "Hive capturer" fire it at queen, voila. The queen will follow you around and you can enter it at M-7. At 12 noon local time if you are on, it makes one bot of a random type, which you can launch. It has 2 small, 1 large, 1 turret. Starts with no shield but you can manufacture "Queen powercells" which can only be mounted on a queen and provide shields. There should be different levels of shielding. Also, maybe you could upgrade your queens to increase armor at the cost of much greater mass? And get four of them in the same sector... well... levi?
