ion cloud weapon for moths
creates ion storm cloud around your ship for approx 5 seconds blinds hostile ships radar and helps avoid detection for short periods like when jumping into wormhole etc.
Would work similar to ion storm but perhaps more dense and blocks radar detection better for short periods
rechargeable but slow recharge would be cool

+1
Would it move the jump point then? This could backfire big time against traders and running tridents. (still +1!)

- 1 because this does not require accuracy.
Better would be a mountable ECM device which blocked the ability to track the jump (currently if one is within 1000m a nice message pops up), and would degrade the fire from targeting. (less damage perhaps) I mean, c'mon. We have such technology here in the 21st Century, but they don't in the 41st?
Not a bad concept, but does it have to be "ion storm"? Why not just call it "temporary cloaking" that renders you invisible on other players' radars as well as making you semi-invisible physically?
you dont have to be physically invisible, just be able to jam the weapons of any nearby hostiles

The cloaking should work in a progressive manner.
> 2000 m - works like occlusion in that the ship cannot be seen on radar beyond that limit
1000-2000 m - creates distortions or blurring in the sensor readings making the ship appear in multiple places on radar or in a different location. The degree of distortion would be directly related to the distance from the target.
< 1000 m - no affect
The distances used are arbitrary and only used for illustration purposes.

-1 to The Infinity. Magically making my guns not shoot is too much of a stretch. Jamming the seeking feature on missiles and the proximity trigger on prox weapons would be acceptable effects, but outright preventing people from firing would not be.
