limit access to top tier ships based roleplay (my twist)
A new twist on something that hasn't been discussed in a year and the year before that, but using the way the current standing system works....

Instead of buffing the raptor to fight pirates in SCPs and X1s at the uit wormholes, I propose having the itani and serco military limit access to those ships based on some level of national roleplay. To do this I propose that national military ships be considered leased to the player and that a new faction bar be created to tract your military faction. To have access to the top ships, you have to sufficient standing with the military. But, it will be possible to for a pirate to have access to the top ships if they keep up with their military obligations. The military remotely disables ships you dont have access to and maybe should eventually seize them.
Military standing begins at your national standing level with the same 1000 max and -1000 min. You have to have 700 and above to leave a station in the x1/scp you paid to have on lease from military, with levels of 500 and 300 for the next two tiers of proms/valks.
Military standing is gained by the following in any ship (points are just proposals):
+100 points for winning a battle in deneb
+25 points for killing the opposing nations player
+5 points for kill an opposing nations npe
+1 point for each bot killed in your nation space
+1 point for each ctc bot killed for your nation
+1 point for each unit of ctc delivered for your nation
Unless defending yourself or in a dual... Military standing is lost by doing the flowing in a ***military*** ship (prom/valk):
-75 points for killing a member of your own nation with a military ship
-50 points for killing a member of UIT with a military ship
*** notice that a pirate that regularly keeps up with their military duties will have access the military ships and still be able to kill uit and members of their own nation even without military standing loss if they are willing to step out of their prom/valk.
Edited to remove references to enrolling in the military. This would work whether the player is enrolled or not.

Terrible. I'd rather to have my balls chopped off than to be forced into nationality roleplaying. It's a sandbox game, for goodness sake. Instead of forcing people into one way of playing, think of ideas that would make alternate playstyles more viable.

@ joylessjoker those who dont want to be forced into nationalist roleplaying for the top military ships can be UIT or kill uit and your own nation with non military ships
Your suggestions leave those who choose to not engage in nationalism heavily disadvantaged in pvp combat. No, no, and NO. There needs to be a strong alternative for people who wants to be "unaligned."
It may be a sandbox game, but there should be long term consequences for choices players make.
+1 to limiting premium military ships to military activity. Neutral on the op.
That said, let's be realistic here, the most useful ship for military use- Deneb - is just a humble common ship that is available everywhere and by anyone with even modest license levels and standing. That's right, I am talking about none other than the humble Rangerok.

Military is a very general term. I was speaking of pvp, as in dogfighting. Rag is a bomber, not a fighter. It's easily countered by light fighters piloted by competent players.
+1 to long term consequences for choices that players make. Making an unaligned faction and giving it access to slightly worse replicas of valks and proms work better. Once you turn yourself unaligned, there's no turning back. Savet already made a thread about this, so I don't need to drone on about this.
