Randomize jumps in Ion Storms
Randomize the destination sector a player/npc jumps to upon exiting an ion storm.
This makes Ion Storms a bit more than a speed bump
Convoys that travel through them will get temporarily split up, etc. They'd cause a little chaos, and it fits with their background of causing instability with wormhole travel.

They used to be this way
They're not this way anymore cause the NPC voys just exited the storm their own magical way different than the player
Devvvvvvvvvvvvvssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *shakes fist*
edit: oh you mean totally randomized, well.....that would be interesting but Re: Devvvvvvvssss!!!!!!!!

It shouldn't really be any more complex than what currently is done, just adding a little directive about jumping to the original intended destination sector and waiting for all members of the group to arrive before continuing.
CrazySpence is talking about Alloh's suggestion that got implemented back in 2010. Ion storms exit points used to be randomized, sometimes making for very long trips across the storm to get out (easily 12km)
Which is different from what you're suggesting, cellsafemode...
-1 to randomize the destination. That would make lurking in ion storms for potential prey a lot less feasible for pirates and the like, since there would be no way to reliably follow someone out of the storm.
I still think the exit point needs to be fixed.
