Hmm, if you are worried about being spotted in initros you should try dying less often dirty ....
Pretty sure I saw a thread about someone sitting in a trident in Deneb taking up the only reloading spot Serco have in the system?
lol that's funny. I should give whoever did that a prize. If only I could find this thread you're talking about.
Anyway, you could try bringing your Trident up there to fight like I do sometimes. Its fun.

Thank you Ore for giving me such a good laugh. I needed it - haven't had one for such a long while. This whole thread is a freaking joke. Nothing but a bunch of tomfoolery.
As it's been pointed out many MANY times before, it's a freaking sandbox game. People are supposed to do as they wish and roleplay in any direction. Even if we follow all of your suggestions, it's not going to get rid of alts or have the desired outcome that you're appearing to look for. If old players are already willing to pay for premium subscription, you can be pretty sure they'll pay a bit more to keep all of their alts.

Ore, I'm with Rin. Say something that explains what you are so worked up about. If you think you have already explained your point of view clearly, I say take another stab at it cuz many of us are not seeing it. Try a few detailed examples.
I've said my piece and defended my stance sufficiently. I got the response I was expecting.
Did it ever occur to you that the small player base of mostly vets may actually be the problem?
what? yeah i'd very much enjoy a bigger playerbase, but every game has vets playing. what the heck are you on about here. and whats it got to do with alts??
this isn't about the current state of the game.
what is it about then??? grazrzrzzt...
Suggestions are intended to change/improve the game so don't recite the current gameplay as though it's not broken.
this is how i understand your complaints: there's alts. alts are bad cause they somehow ruin RP...
as many foreposters have said, i'd like some hints how that is happening exactly. more different names popping up on the chat are a good thing, not a bad... and alt spots offer the Chance to test out different rp. where is this abuse you keep whining about? brrzzzrztt..

take your medicine and reply contructively to criticism rozhozhoz...

Ore has said his piece. Okay kids, the movie is over. Clean up your popcorn mess on the floor and move along.
Yeah pull yourselves together. Yet another smurf telling you to move along. Can't say I'm in any way surprised.
I dunno. This can't be it. I mean, there is something important missing from this thread. Like a huge void has formed.
I NEED CLOSURE PEOPLE!
I NEED CLOSURE PEOPLE!
Ore, there were some valid points that people raised, to which you did not respond. That doesn't help your argument.
But, no, I am not getting rid of alts per account. Fundamentally, it should be evident to anyone that an infinite number of alts are available to anyone who just wants to create other accounts. There is no possible way to "lock people down" to force them to only play on one character. Then it becomes about who is willing to spend more money to gain different advantages and so on.. and I don't like that. I would just as soon make the game available to everyone with the same reasonable possibilities. Re-playability, and being able to enjoy totally different game experiences depending on your character's goals, are one of the benefits of this game.
As far as I'm concerned, alts are entirely unrelated to bots. We can actually do away with bots any time we want, and removing alts would not be a meaningful way to achieve it (again, it becomes about economics then, and who is willing to spend more money to run a bot.. which gets into pay-to-win bullshit that I hate). We've let bots "slide" for a long time, and there may be an argument to be made for us to start to clamp down on that. The number of persistent characters keeping sectors alive has actually become problematic for the server in various ways (sectors not getting to shut down and do various server-side housekeeping). So.. if people want to do away with bots, then that should be another discussion.
The signal to noise ratio on this thread is pretty poor, so I'm locking it. If people want to start newer threads, where they remain civil and drop all the self-righteous BS, then that's fine.
As a general rule, all the accusational stuff about "you want this because you abuse that" is of zero interest to me. I'm only interested in discussing the pure facts of the specific topic. Not the personalities that surround said topic. People have been pretty good at separating themselves from their drama, in the past (obviously, sometimes more than others), and that's what we're looking for on Suggestions.
