Marking sectors on system map
Anybody remember that mine sweeper game where you had this grid of squares and you click one and if there's no mine under it it disappears and numbers appear on adjacent squares and you could mark squares you suspect as having mines with a little flag icon.
I think it would be cool if we could mark sectors on the map the same way, with little flag icons as reminders for sectors we find as uncharted botless roid sectors.
I've been using the mission notes to make note of such sectors but I think I like the flag idea better although I have no ideas on how to implement such a feature without messing with the current touch functionality on androids.

You can using a plugin. Try the navcomp plugin. The idea behind it is dumb, but the technical features and some of the side features are actually sort of handy. For instance, it highlights all the squares where bot skirmishes are going on so you can plot around them and/or plot to them if you'd like. It also highlights the squares with ion storms.
Being able to plot custom highlights on the minimap is a Red Eternal Dominion guild plugin exclusive feature (other guilds aren't as clever as we are) but you can find plenty of stuff that does the standard features.

The game's built-in sector notes are sorely lacking in this department. They don't even work at all on mobile.
