Turning off face motion image when docking to trident
Is there a way to turn off the fake motion image when docked to a trident?
The.. what?
When docking to a trident, the background image in front of the trident appears to move even though the trident is stationary.
Just close your eyes a sec.
Death Fluffy's been staring into the mining beams a little too long... What are you even talking about?
Am I the only one who docks with their dent and gets the image of their dent in motion behind the 'take control' screen from the pda? It's particularly a nuisance if you're parked in front of asteroids.
I've noticed the movement too but after I wondered why the heck my Trident was moving I realized they just gave it the same weird motion you see when docked to a station. Telling myself that it's just looking like it's moving but really is not has always had me sleep well.
I don't know about you, but maybe that will help you just like it helped me. :P

I'm not losing any sleep over it, and I've managed to cope thus far, though at first it made for one or two wtf moments when I wasn't expecting to see motion.
It is certianly not a game breaker, and I think I've made other recent suggestions that I feel would improve the game / trident use more than this one that is merely asthetic. However, when docking to a stationary vessel, I do not expect to see motion in the background, nor do I want to.
Posters of Capt'N B posing in a thong bikini attached to the rear wall of the dock on the other hand would add a great deal to the asthetic enjoyment of my docking experience.

I also see that. Large stations hold their position. Tridents not always. If you ram them during docking, it is possible to see the remaining momentum movement on the background projected behind the PDA screen. Just like as you see crafts flying by and docking to stations.
Oh the outside camera view of the Trident? Yeah that's only moving if the ship is actually moving. You can turn it off in the menu so you only see a static background.
