I want to stop gaining faction sometimes
Scenario: I fight my way into Serco space to get Siepios Nural Nodules, I kill bots but what is happening to my Itani standing!
Fix: I'd like to set a checkbox on my character that tells the system to not accept increases in serco standing I may incidentally earn, so as not to harm mu Itani standing.
I actually don't care how it needs to work, I just want it. :)

Its what you get for helping others .... try killing a few station gaurds to compensate or perhaps a few serco convoy ships...

How about making it so typing "death to serco" or "death to itani" in system chat gives you -50 standing in the enemy systems? It would also alert to your location which would balance the advantage it poses.

Instead implement something like "killing Serco station guards raises Itani standing as well as tanks Serco".
Maybe not on the same scale as the tank, but still killing a guard is a feat for some players, especially in hostile space.

I'm not helping the enemy, I'm stealing stuff in their territory.
You're not stealing stuff. You're getting rid of the hive pests for them. You should lose Itani standing for that as well.
If you want to steal it, find a newb who's botting and follow him around, taking his drops.
Incidentally, I want to reiterate my ire at the devs for eliminating drops from NPC vs. NPC kills and thereby nerfing into oblivion the scavenger play-style.

This would be a complete waste of time for the developers.
1) The faction redux is still incomplete. We don't know what the final picture will look like with respect to earning and losing standing.
2) The pitiful amount of Itani standing that you lose as your serco improves is meaningless.
3) It is currently entirely too easy to recover whatever Itani standing you may have lost to waste precious development time on this.
This would be a complete waste of time for the developers.
