This is really probably just a footnote for the VO 1.9 universe.

Now then, we are missing a capship that bridges the gap between fighters and the first tier. Technically, Tridents should be considered Corvettes, not capships. But then after updating the Trident they'd be nothing to bridge the gap between Corvettes and capships. Frigates are supposed to fill this gap, and after naming the Trident a corvette, the Teradon is the only thing left really.

Also, Connies are appearing in skirmishes and blockades, when they are really meant to be huge, cargo transports. Why are the nation's employing them as attack capships? What should replace them in the skirms and blockades are carriers. They'd carry a crapton of ships and be a support ship in their fleets, like they are supposed to be. Let the connies do what they've actually supposed to do.

There should also be a "battleship", bigger than the HAC, and should have a role similar role to the Teradon. Basically it'll be a bigger, better version of the Teradon.

Well, what ever you want to call them, the Trident and Teradon definitely don't belong in the same class.

the trident is more a light carrier class, holds ships, generally defenseless, relies on support but a corvette also works.

I usually refer to the Trident as an Escort or Corvette. Typically Frigates have anti-ship weaponry. Corvettes have anti-missile or anti-fighter weaponry.

And if we're going to complain about missing combat warships, let's at least list all the possible slots (borrowing from some of the board games I've played over the years):

* Corvette (CT)
* Frigate (FG)
* Destroyer (DD)
* Light Cruiser (CL)
* Heavy Cruiser (CA)
* Battleship (BB)
* Dreadnaught (DN)
* Super Dreadnaught (SD)
* Monitor (MT)
* Escort Carrier (CVE)
* Light Carrier (CVL)
* Fleet Carrier (CV)
* Assault Carrier (CVA)

Then, once done, be willing to wait 5-10 years for each class implementation.
