Remove the Fog in Latos M-7
While the station itself may not be a visual stunner, it removes most of the danger from flying an XC or cappie there.
There needs to be a reason to use fighter escorts or other means to avoid detection or deter attackers, but a persistent fog is not a very good one.

the fogs because the game would blow up if it was all visible in its current state, or the state when it was made, not sure if still the case.
Plus because it looks like it's from Starfox SNES

Removing the fog would be OK AFTER Tridents have other stations they can dock at.
The game doesn't blow up, but the station is actually so huge that it doesn't fit within the clipping distance.
Note how the cubic hubs in the center are getting cut in half diagonally.
More unfogged pictures here.
(Yes, I'm aware the quality of these images is poor; I had a weaker graphics card back when I took these, so I didn't used to use anti-aliasing.)

I actually think the station in M-7 is *too big*.
It's reasonable to assume that capital ships can be assembled and stored in a couple of those modules.

I'm pretty sure M-7 isn't supposed to actually be representative of anything; it's just a quick demo they banged out. When they start dropping in real capship stations, they'll probably look significantly different.
Yeah I know, but that's part of the problem with it. It's so big, no matter where you are, some part of it falls off the clipping plane.
Quite frankly, given its entire population is in space according to the backstory, all UIT stations should be this big. The total population of the Union would be in the millions, yet they're packed into stations which are 'dinky'.
We actually need MORE environment based 'weather' not less. I'd like to see local terrain which affects game play at multiple levels.

M7 is essentially a totally safe zone because of the density of the fog both visually and for sensors, and because of the sheer size making it hard to cover the whole station at once. I'd love to see it shrunk and the fog made much less "thick."
Removing it all together seems a bit much.

Less fog would be interesting. Smaller station has been discussed extensively to no avail, but obviously a very good idea.
I agree with Keller. Unless of course my belief that we are all digital entities is correct, there is no way current stations are big enough to house enough crew to run tha damn things, let alone the remaining populace.
