remotely sell station inventory.
Allow inventory stored at a given station, to be sold to that station, even while you are not docked at that station.
To be concise:
Only inventory stored at a given station can be sold to that station, and it can only be sold remotely to the station it is stored at.
"Remotely" means not docked at that station, and perhaps not even docked at all. Allow a player to review their inventory galaxy wide, and sell anything and everything stored at any station anywhere, even while floating in space.
If determining the local station price is a problem, then have the sell price default to the worst possible price that station would ever offer.
At a bare minimum, allow players to delete inventory anywhere, even if it means they get no credits for it.

+1 Especially since there are real consequences to having a large inventory. (Slow client when searching/sorting)
+0.5. Have this be dependent on your trade license.
+1 to it being tied to your trade lvl
+1 also to have price received based on your trade lvl or maybe your standing with who owns the station.

-1. Because if gives ppl like me access to sell stuff at a station I cannot currently dock at.
And, I don't even understand how this would be somehow magically be tied to your trade level to allow you to sell stuff at a station your to lazy / can't fly to / whatever.
Example scenario. Trader hears there is a blockade going on in in either Edras or Ukari or perhaps pirate activity, so instead of flying to the said station wherever it is, they just magically sell inventory from the confines of some safe area without NOT TRAVELING at all.
Screw that. Dumb ass lame idea.

It is not magic. You can only sell stuff to a station, if the stuff is already stored at that station. you had to travel there at some point to store the stuff there. The only magic part is long distance communications, like being able to buy stock over the internet. If that is not magic, I do not know what is. And yes, you could sell stuff to a station that you can not even dock at. That is in fact one of the primary points. I hate being UIT KOS, and having some misc item stored in a UIT station, that I can not even delete. This will be even more a point of contention with the mutually exclusive itani/serco standing, with some players finding items stuck in either serco or itani space, with no intention of adjusting standing to go sell it off.
Like I say, even a bare minimum of just being able to outright delete stuff would be better than nothing.

Better yet: if you remain hated with a faction for more than one month, it confiscates any items you had stored in its stations. (Which for now would mean simple deletion, but sometime in the future it could mean actually transferring the cargo into the station's own inventory, thereby allowing it to sell them to players for its own profit.)
I would only agree with a one-time remote sell considering the recent faction changes. However, as Vskye already said, it completely removes any risk on the part of the player. Under normal circumstances, where you have more control over how your standing will change, it's a matter of choice to effectively abandon the equipment in the station, or to temporarily lose access to it, or to clean it up before moving on.
It does not completely remove risk, in that you had to take the risk to acquire the inventory in the first place. It does reduce risk, for getting rid of the inventory. You could have gotten rid of the inventory when you stored it, so the only risk you are reducing is the additional risk a player is currently incurring when they store inventory. So yes, in specific circumstances, this would represent a reduction in risk. But in some cases, we are not even talking about a reduction in risk. We are talking about reducing clutter in a players inventory. Some things stored in a station will either be sold remotely, or never again accessed. There is no issue of risk, only clutter.
If you do not support selling inventory remotely, then at least support deleting it remotely. There is no point in cluttering your inventory with items you will never have access to again.

+1 to at least being able to delete it.
+/- 0 on remote selling. I've often wanted it, but it would need limitations like how many remote transactions you can do in a day, otherwise it becomes the ultimate universe-wide market-tanking weapon. It would need to include a hefty station fee to make it an unsustainable business practice.
This current faction rule change dropped with little warning, or I just missed what warning was given. Last time it seemed we had a month or more warning in order to get stuff out of nations we expected to lose access to. Maybe they didn't want everyone stockpiling ships they'd no longer have access to (like everyone did last time), but stranded inventory is annoying.

I'm fine with deleting inventory remotely.
I'm even ok with selling inventory ONE time, due to the recent faction changes. (and only a one shot type deal)
But as far as making this a normal deal, hell no.
And Rin, -1 on the inventory disappearing due to faction status. I bought it / stole it, and it's mine!! all mine!!!! ;) But ya.
