I have a rough idea which id like to share and which I hope we could polish together.
Cloaking or should i say radar jamming. I do not suggest to simply make a ship invisible because that would just be game breaking.I have a simple kind of cloak/jam in mind which would prevent ships radar/sensor log detection of up to a certain distance. Right now im using a targetless plugin and as soon as i warp into a sector, I see a message "player joe is outta range" so I know right away there is someone here so i just turbo forward and 9 times outta 10 I find the player as he falls into my 5k range. I suggest something not to significant like invisible ships or complete radar jamming, but maybe something like immunity to sensor picking you up until youre within 1000m or something. This stealth role would open up a lot of new opportunities, especially with new and yet to come trident changes. Following dents to see where theyre being brought to park, stealing them, etc.
Also, this needs a counter. Just as there are stealth ships, there need to be scout ships. Ones that need to scout out the area for any enemy spies or ambushes. This encourages teamwork and usage of tactics instead of just kill or be killed we have now.
Of course making new ships for this is a headache and unnecessary. I propose either weapon port gear or making use of the useless ship: raptor.
