Allow players to have stake in NPC stations

Simple idea- at Admired and up, players would be able to directly invest capital into a faction or station in exchange for special benefits. The more you invest, the better the benefits! Imagine having SkyCommand proms shipped to Helios, ready to go. Or information on asteroid composition in the local area, simple price cuts, extended storage, procuring/reserving certain components for you, ship insurance, and of course, profit!

Give the credit whales some love!

Governments tend not to look for private funding beyond what they extort in taxes.

The UIT subfactions aren't governments.

I would like to see some form of investment available in a DYNAMIC economic system. And, no, the bs we have now is not dynamic. It's simply been neutered to end the excessive trade bug.

This does not make any sense to me. You can't make that one more jump into Pyronis or go through Initros for the Prom? Any of our 'credit whales' probably already have better mining information than some implementation of this would provide. Price cuts and profits are already supposed to come with high standing. And again, why would our 'credit whales' invest when renting extra space is so cheap?

Now I do like the procuring / reserving components and insurance ideas. Both of these are more services that a station would offer rather than a benefit of investing.

More importantly, and here comes the thread hijack, we need a real player to player trade system first!

I agree with DF, generate a true dynamic economy first, then add bells and whistles.
