EMP Style Jammer Rocket

When this rocket hits, for 10 seconds, all radar is jammed (interference-like effect), and autoaim reticle "plays up".

Thought this would be quite a cool effect in game and have a nice impact on group tactics.

Yeah I've stared at it a while, i still don't get "autoaim recticle plays up" that sounds like concussion to me, why would I want a jackhammer with 3 ammo that turns off radar?

Get rid of the "plays up" effect and increase the jamming time to 45s and I'll give you a +1

+1 to a radar jammer. It should definitely have more than 3 ammo though.

I think what he means is that it would cause the auto-aim (and probably the leadoff indicator) to misbehave, without actually impacting the orientation of your ship, so that you'd have to aim completely manually.

yeah but why would I want to cause that, when i can cause the actual orientation of your ship to change with a proper jackhammer

You haven't tried shooting an enemy without a leadoff reticle. I mean "plays up" as in jumps everywhere, sometimes on target, sometimes not.

How long it goes for is up for debate and TRS, this is for different ways of impacting your enemy without using concussive force. Maybe it could do both.. Dunno.

a real EMP should shutdown all electronic on yer ship, meaning
no radar, no HUD display, no engine and no controls until computer reboots (black screen or hatch view to be debated).

And if ye'r too close to yer target ye should be affected as well

So 3 ammo should be quite enough.
Reboot duration = 30s
Splash radius = 50m

It's EMP style, not a real EMP, it's a more targeted version, aimed at single pilots. A real EMP would cover many km and not discriminate against who it jammed.

-1 unless it does the same to the ships firing it and anyone withins a huge radius.

Differing proximity and splash stats. Jackhammers have a better effect, but concentrated into a narrower area.
