Shared Station Cargo Keys
A common storage area for groups facilitates group cooperation and creates potential new sources of mayhem.
Station Shared Cargo Keys are like station keys.
THey are named and have an underlying ID number.
Owner:
Owns shared cargo space and controls keys. Pays for cargo space.
Can be guild assigned and would then be controlled by the guild commander/officers/council and paid for out of guild bank. CAUTION: Control would change when the guild commander changes if owner is assigned to guild commander position.
Quartermaster or Cargo manager:
Issues store and/or withdrawl keys.
Can be assigned to guild and guild officers and council as tagged by the owner.
Guild key:
Allows all guild members either store or withdrawl (drop or fetch) or both.
Store: Key allows the keyholder to place something into common storage.
Withdrawl: Key allows the keyholder to remove something from common storage.
Notes on desired interactions.
Station shared cargo access keys are not just limited to one station. They may access shared cargo space on any station throughout the game when at that station.
Failure to make shared cargo space payments locks access until paid.
Payments may be made on any shared cargo space by any player, this does not change ownership.
Owner, quartermaster and withdrawl keys can view the entired shared cargo inventory just as they can view their own inventory.

nope.

Looks like it would work well for Guilds or single player with alternates. It would make transferring items between players or between alternates a LOT easier.

Yep, that would be a useful addition.
in general I like the idea but making it easy to transfer a lot of "stuff" from one alt to another is not so good
i think this goes in the same category as
Drones to fight skirmishes fer ye when ye stay in station.
Rent-able connies that pickup carry and deliver goods for ye from a point A to a point B without ye need leaving station.
Remote mining barge that explore and mine a whole system fer ye, when ye enjoy a good cigar while looking at yer bank account and xp counter thrive up near the fire place.

Neat idea, but I think DeathSpores hit the nail on the head. Why add things to the game that basically give you one less reason to undock and interact with the rest of the universe?
