Make Tridents only able to carry a limited amount of repair/reload supplies

I think Tridents acting as magical unlimited reload and repair stations is dumb. So my idea is this: Whether as cargo or as separate storage bays (such as a "nanite tank" and "ammo bay"), the capital class vessel in question should have to carry a finite amount of supplies which are consumed whenever a docked ship requests repair & reload. When the capital ship docks, the captain can refill these supplies for credits.

I guess this same cache of supplies could also be used to repair and rearm the capital ship itself, but that's kinda separate.

This sounds like it just adds another chore to do for people who own capships. Make it more interesting to have one, not less.

It isn't dumb - Tridents simply have the ingredients for repairs stored on the molecular level, and a highly advanced 3D printer to assemble them when needed.

I will never support limitations to supplies, next thing they'll be telling us a powercell will only last so many recharge cycles.
