tridents, plugin abuse and gem turrets
I am having a hard time believing the devs intended for players to be able to rapidly switch turrets and send out a wave of 40 gems in a matter of seconds. You are never going to be able to dodge 40 different missiles coming from 40 different directions while still doing damage to your target. The ammo limits need to come back for homing turret weapons. This has given trident pilots way to much of an advantage and after losing the chainsaw hornet (even though that was a glitch) they are currently invulnerable to any sort of solo or small scale threat.
Let's see, if you have 4 turrets all equipped with Gemini launchers, and you hop between them as fast as you can (about half a second) it'd take you 10 seconds to put out 40 geminis. That's not accounting for any time to aim them.
Now, if you had 4 gunners on your ship, you could do it in 7.5 seconds, and they can aim, but really you'd be better off kicking them out of your ship to go fly fighters.
They come from at most 4 slightly different directions, none of which can aim backwards. Just sit inside the big huge donut blind spot around the rear of the ship and you won't get hit, you noob.

1. Get missiles to chase you.
2. Lead them all into the dumb trident that fired then.
3. ....?
4. PROFIT!

Cool nice to know you have nothing to actually contribute no one just sits in the same spot and you eventually have to get your ship into the blind spot you don't just end up there when you warp in. Your trolling is really getting old
I'm pretty sure turret missiles don't hurt the ship hosting the turrets they were fired from, Doc.
"they are currently invulnerable to any sort of solo or small scale threat."
Why shouldn't they be?
If you feel yourself to be an inadequate small scale threat why not get a friend to help you attack them?

Dunno what your issue is, peytros. Westacular managed to pull it off.
Dr. Lecter's got a point there too, you can even lure the missiles into locking on to other players like the Trident's fighter escort or a station guard. Quit whining for half a minute and try to get creative.

because ecka not all of us are retires with 24/7 free time to sit around waiting for a trident and given the low player density of VO having a way to be technically invincible is pretty game breaking, it has made greyspace extremely safe for veteran pilots when the entire mantra has been "nowhere is safe" since the games inception.
ARF wes did it in a chainsaw hornet which was a bug, but you already knew that. Attempting to appear less intelligent then you are is a pretty poor trolling tactic

No, wes would fly up Tridents' asses in hounds and hogs all the time dealing lots of damage long before he ever even tried using the chainsaw cheat.
