Rare ores and Hive items Market....
Again with this suggestion .....the game need to have a Market for players can sell Hive drop items and Rare ores without have to afraid to ask on global or to encounter uknown players and get killed and lost their cargo /ship......
Capital and Commercial stations is good for this....
Note : Lately many bored old players use alts and kill anyone who see in their way (mostly traders and newbies...the worst combination of bored veteran and newborn rat attidude...).....thats is very bad for the game ....
Anyway ...u knows better...
Faceof.....

There's plenty of folks who buy this stuff and don't screw the seller over. You make it out like a few pirates are the majority here.
Its not only the pirates .....u know very well....
Anyway after this i have deside to stop to see and write in the Forums ....U KNOW BETTER...
Cya only in game....

Some hints:
0 ) pick the rendez vous location, never deliver goods to a location you havent chosen. If you have to move stuff dont disclose the location before moving said stuff.
1 ) Only conduct deal at a station and inside NFZ.
2 ) Stay docked until ye get paid (send the money first i'll send the goodies after)
3 ) Sell in large quantities so the buyer will have to fly a slow ship (taur, maud, moth) and check the buyer's ship before launching

I've sold and bought to and from all types, from traders to pirates and have yet to be cheated. Had some pretty valuable deals in excess of 50 mil without issue. While I am somewhat careful who I deal with and how, it only takes a little caution to keep things above board.
Faille.
Faille.
I've made a lot of purchases and sales, mostly with people who are at least a little shady, and none have cheated me. There were a couple who thought it would be funny to pretend to cheat me for a few seconds, but they straightened up pretty quick.
I disagree with DeathSpores' point 2. Most transactions I've done went down like this:
Both parties float outside an empty station in the NFZ in appropriately sized cargo ships.
The seller drops the goods.
The buyer targets the goods to verify they're the correct items in the correct amount.
The buyer pays for the goods.
The seller docks/leaves while the buyer picks up the goods.
For more risky situations, you can require both parties to use an XC during the exchange.
If dealing with very large prices for very small quantities of items, you can also break the payment into chunks along the way, so that if anything goes wrong at any stage it isn't a total loss. For example, 1/3 pay before undocking, then the item is removed from the station and jettisoned. Then the next 1/3 is paid before the buyer picks up the item. The final 1/3 is then paid once the buyer has docked safely.
Similarly, for large amounts of cargo, they can be paid for one mothload at a time.

The only problems I have ever had involved a third party trying to steal the goods.... which is in fact why stuff is transfered in person in space.....
This is a non problem and works exactly as inteneded......
