To be specific, I'm talking about when you set it to "Sort by Type", and you expand the item to see which stations you have that item stored in and how many. The sub-list of the stations is not alphabetically sorted, or even numerically sorted based on the number you have.

For example, when I expand the Consumer Robotics entry, I see this:

40x @ Edras G-11 - Edras Command
5x @ Azek D-11 - Arna Orbital
20x @ Latos C-2 - Epsilon Hold
37x @ Odia H-6 - Fenos Outpost
16x @ Sedina L-2 - Daltas Hold
91x @ Odia C-2 - Odia Mining
14x @ Latos N-15 - Remley Orbital
49x @ Sedina D-14 - Sedina V Hold
40x @ Ukari M-4 - Ukari Outpost
40x @ Bractus C-5 - Bractus Watch

It would make way more sense if it were sorted by location, so that all the Latos entries would be grouped, etc., like so:

5x @ Azek D-11 - Arna Orbital
40x @ Bractus C-5 - Bractus Watch
40x @ Edras G-11 - Edras Command
20x @ Latos C-2 - Epsilon Hold
89x @ Latos N-2 - Latos Mining

"Being needy" would be complaining that the alignment is all over the place instead of being nice and tabular. The purpose of this feature is to see where you have your cargo, and sorting them lets it do that much more effectively. As it is now, it's difficult to glance at the list and get a quick feel for how much you have in the sector overall. Sorting it makes that easy.
