Make all notices a popup after log on next dock
Right now due to spammy 100 or plugin printing, /buddy notes and group invites and other important information just gets lost.
Perhaps on the first Player_Docked event once logged in, it would display in a popup buddy notes that you may have missed, guild invites, etc. with a Dismiss button, or Join Guild or a Join Group.
Buddy notes are useless because 95% of the time, they're lost.

+1...
-1, too intrusive. Perhaps if it's optional.
Oh god no more popups. How about highlight the parts of the PDA (Buddly list, Guild thingy) that have new info the way the station bar does?
+1 Arf. Buddy messages should move into a mailbox in the Comm tab and persist rather than being a stupid one-time-only chat thing.
I suggested that ages ago, but didn't catch on. I still support a seperate Comm area for PM's, buddy messages and the like.
-1 I would rather each channel had its own tab including one for routine invites and so on - having the tab flash when there is activity and perhaps an all in one channel as an option
There is no "perhaps" about it. Not having an all-in-one option would be one of the worst possible things they could do to the chat system. Having to fuck around with tabs in the middle of combat to keep track of sector, group, guild, and PM chat is completely unacceptable.
Having tabs as an option is fine. It could be useful, especially if the tabs could be configured to include whichever channels you want, and especially if the game's population increases significantly. But there must always be a way to see everything that matters at the same time.
