New Ship - Access to Mass Production
Was thinking up this idea before.
No matter what ship you get access to, you should have to build at least one of them to get access to the mass production line.
This would be an interesting RP and immersion thing to add because it would be offered by missions that don't necessarily say that you get that item after you complete the mission.
And there would be a order of completion to avoid simply only building the ship you *want*.
For example.
You must build a EC-98 before you get access to building an EC-101, EC-104, 107 (crafting mission would be available after the badge).
You must have access to the Itani Valkyrie before you access the Mission for building the Rune.
Access to special nation ships would be revoked if you fell into low standing with that nation/subfaction. Or if you were trying to access the opposing nation's special ships.
i.e. If a UIT builds a SkyProm, access to Valkyries line would be revoked.
i.e. If a UIT builds a Valkyrie, access to Prometheus' would be revoked.
This would also tie in nicely with the reason why Tridents need to be constructed before buying them.
(This could be done with the co-operation of the PCC and Devs, and I'd be willing to create some of the missions to do this)
(PCC: would work on access achievements, such as the one given to you for the Itani Test Pilot and TPG test pilot missions)

Just in case your account wasn't hacked by PoL..
-1 because it's one of the stupidest ideas I've h.eard in a lomg while

I created a pilot mission to create proms close close to edras and valks close to ukari in much the same way as the OP suggestion. However, with the advent of supply side variability its not so much needed. It's standing on a carpet on one leg with someone firmly grasping one end just waiting to pull it out from underneath you.
What. This is only taken in places where the ship is available.
And ryan, that is not constructive. Tell me why it's stupid.

Honestly, I think making the X-1 and SCP craftable only ships would be great. However, the stockpiling issue is why we can't have nice things.
Wow...if you weren't hacked by PoL, you're channeling him. It's stupid because it's unrealistic. Limiting use of top tier ships until you've built the next one down?
"You must build a EC-98 before you get access to building an EC-101, EC-104, 107 (crafting mission would be available after the badge)."
Limiting newb ships until they build one? Completely ridiculous.
If the common sense technique (what we have now) were left in place and untouched, then your stupid idea wouldn't be so bad... except that it would be a complete waste of the Devs time.
Significantly better idea would be to have unique ships available from Gray stations as a crafting mission, with lower and higher stats, to indicate it's a knock off.

Just remember this is an action game. We want people to get into the action and that to be the focal point. Grinding unlocks can be incredibly lame game-play. Leave it for other MMO's that don't have skill-based game-play and other solid core foundational game-play like VO.
+1 to idea for more craftable missions with 1 more type of ship ....and RedSpy when u want to say for any game is the best, this game need to can have and give all types of actions not only pew pew....
For excample i have suggest it to can someone buy a capship with fair price 5billions ....for the players who want only to hunting bots or other players...anyway cya in game.....

That is not what I'm saying at all. I am saying you should limit how much you obscure one type of game-play with another. If people want to perform non combat roles they should be able to do so and that should feed back into the universe; however you shouldn't have to perform those roles in order to get to the combat ones. That's just annoying to a person that wants one but not both.
You could always buy what you want from the peaceable types. It would encourage player to player interaction and let the fighters fight and the traders trade.
That's fine for addons, Snake, but we can't transfer ship owners at the moment.
It was in reference to this suggestion - you could sell people X1 kits or whatever
+1 to special craftable black market ships in grey with slighty different stats
-1 I like the idea of more craftable *items* but until you can trade ships I don't like the idea of more craftable ships. The dent is a good craftable ship. The super-lite is acceptable. But forcing people to manufacture is a bad idea. If we could trade ships then you could have people that like to manufacture build them and such... But we can't so ....
