Even if PaK didn't want to make a trade bot and they put this change through I would make a trade bot for shits and giggles.

If there was a DockMyAss function I would build a trade bot in a matter of moments, just for fun. It wouldn't even be remotely difficult. I don't see a purpose for this function beyond botting. Or maybe people are too lazy/unskilled to dock their ship, but seeing how easy it is I'm going to stick with botting.

While any lua script could theoretically pilot a ship through wormholes, using vector approaches, but the ship controls for turning are broken. There is no way to steer or strafe your ship using pure lua.

Any external means of automation I seriously doubt sits well with the devs.

No. I made it for the fun of making it, not to use. Actually using it would be against the rules. Besides, it's currently nonfunctional anyway. (I started updating the algorithm it uses, but I never got around to finishing it.)
