NPC guilds
Just a thought..what if their were NPC guilds..like each faction and nation has various guilds that do different things..just like the current player guild system.sometimes certain player made guilds go inactive or slow down etc etc..well I was thinking. Take ORE for example. Ive been wanting help mining large amounts of ore. But organizing a 5+ player mining party is kinda hard. And be a long process.plus it gets boring.I was thinking if Tunguska or uit had its own NPC ORE guild I could send a PM to said guild and hire NPC mining help. Like I could hire one mineral hog to scout for 1000c an hr..3 heavy moths with mk2 beams to mine with me for 2000 creds an hr.then I could hire 3 serco gaurdians to protect the group. Or if I wanted to trade in grey I could hire a NPC military/mercenary guild to fly escort? I'm just saying flip the idea around. It could be awesome..I have use for most of the player guilds.ems.ore.vpr.etc etc..but 98% of the time their not around or are to busy to help. If this was implemented I would still want to use player guilds help for many reasons but when there not around it sucks. Watta you think guys and girls? Sorry no paragraphs here.lol

Why not just do as some have suggested before that NPCs can be hired for various purposes? That should serve the same purpose as the OP outlined.
Or have the ability to hire NPCs . Either way.

The OP idea is just silly. Get real friends give them trials and friend keys and make them haul your goodies for you
Hiring NPCs is very bad. The OP will never get their materials docked because the NPCs can easily be shot down, or if the NPCs are too awesome then there's no risk to moving the cargo.
I don't like the idea oh buy-able NPCs for anything. If there too lame then people will complain, and if there too good other people with complain, and both complaints will have merit. Better to just use real people, join a more active guild, or get more organized. It may be such a thing that you could make great fun if you organize a mining event with miners mining, protectors protecting and pirate pirating all around a system like Pel that has two entrances.
A mining fleet in a storm, with a hauling fleet, and a small protecting fleet in storm for scouts and bots.
A large protection fleet at the WHs/Stations protecting the operation
And much kersploading - sounds like a plan to me. Just needs to be organized.

This is patently false. Launch a escort, and then follow it around without interfering in any way. Do this repeatedly. Compare how often they reach their destination to how often they get obliterated.
You'll find that the vast majority of NPC convoys travel the verse unscathed, despite their own incompetence.

Soooo...I don't understand how's this is a bad idea..I get the NPC guild being dumb but as far as hiring NPCs for various jobs is tight..there's a very slim chance I can hire players for everything I want.for various reasons the vets understand.you noobs will understand in time its very hard to get a mining party going with fighter escorts and moth haulers.I've already had mining party's and etc etc..and it took waaay to much time setting it all up and it being worth it..simply said the VO player base is still to small to get enough pilots organized for it to be worth it. If I wanted a 6 player mining party in hot zones with fighters and moths..i have to set up around my RL schedule and getting more than a few pilots to work with my schedule is hard. Now getting 10+ players to work together in a timely fashion is crazy hard. It would be so much easier to hire npcs for my needs..even if the NPCs had very limited equipment and cargo space.

This suggestion is about NPC guilds. If you want to change it, make a new thread, please don't resurrect this pile of dog shit.
Also, hiring NPCs is one of the oldest reruns on the reels. Try harder.
