trading ore and goods between stations yields very little cash and exp
while trading weapons yields lots of cash and exp

my suggestion is that ore and goods should yield lots of exp
while weapons should yield lots of cash

this way players have a choice , do I want exp or cash

this semi good idea. weapon make cash cause war going on. ore you buy at store shouldnt make much exp. prem ore you mine should. ore if you could refine ore at a manufacture station should make much exp or cash

Trading commodities between stations with an XC should net you about 2 million credits per hour......

Weapons are heavier and more costly so they should make a higher profit....
Weapons didnt always yeild XP :}

Running Procurement trading missions, I've found minerals to be very lucrative when offered. Resulting in xp increase, credits and faction standing increase.

Exp is useless and part of an introductory/certification system. No expansion of exp should ever occur ever because "the game was never intended to have levels" -Incarnate: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/27212#330789

It has long been veteran player consensus that weapon trades are absurd and devalue every other type of trade and income in VO. Earlier this year Incarnate agreed with this assessment and reduced the profitability output of most weapon trades so there is at least less absurdity now.

So, if you are suggesting (and it isnt entirely clear) that we should increase the value of weapons trade then it's a bad idea. And if you're suggesting we expand the license system that's also a bad idea.

Drevent is just noticing one sub-problem of the greater problem of the economy. TRS is just being his usual as.s self. I am stating the truth.

In the end, the only 'solution' should be that each station keeps an inventory of items. As items are sold the price goes down, as items are bought the price goes up. VO doesn't even have to have a consumption based economic model; just have a degradation rate for each item in each station. Whenever a economic 'phase' rolls around, that amount is deducted from the totals of each item in each station.

@Greenwall: "I am stating the truth."

Wow, I'm glad that you told us so, because otherwise we would never have guessed!

Also, I guess we can assume that any post that you don't end with "I'm stating the truth", you are in fact lying? Good to know!

Why would you assume that unless I said I was telling the truth I am lying? You must be serco.
