Engine sound remove/improve
I'm new to this game on my ouya.
Wow. This is awesome! I have really enjoyed this game so far and the tutorial was great fun to follow.
The last epic sci-fi soundtrack I heard was from mass effect 1, and I would say the vendetta soundtrack is as good if not better. It's so atmospheric and beautiful from the menu to in-game.
However, if I was the creator of those songs I would be pretty annoyed that it's drowned out by the screeching engines of the spacecrafts and other low quality sound effects. As great as 1988 was, I would rather the sound effects of vendetta were of a modern quality and would match the overall atmosphere I feel for the soundtrack and visuals.
You guys should continue with the atmospheric theme and use very low level sounds for craft acceleration. There is no sound in space, but the player will obviously need audio feedback for what they are doing, so I would suggest using a basic eq to cut off any high-end noise.

I dabble in this kind of thing so if you would like any help, I'd be more then happy to.

I happen to like the engine sounds. They're not bad and they're one more way to keep track of other ships in the vicinity.
So -1.
So -1.
The EC-89 engine sound is pretty annoying. Most of the others aren't so bad, but there's definitely room for improvement.
If you're playing with headphones on, the aliasing in the engine rumble loop starts to dig into your brain and drive you nuts.
That's why I always put music on when I'm flying a Trident, since most of the time you're either turboing or sitting still.

I love engine noises, honestly. Also, the EC turbo noise is sexy.
