Request overall CS stats be kept and published
Stuff like who held each station this month and for how long
Record for continuous ownership of a single station and for holding all three stations
Shortest and longest battle times might also be fun but not sure exactly when to count the first blow as struck.

+1....
So long as it does not include current owners of stations, I don't see any issue.
You could probably infer the current owner of a station based on trend analysis of the data, but I'm for more analytic data being available anyway.
Yeah, us mathematicians LOVEs us some data mining! ;)

stats are cool, as well as ConqStations... so Conqstations Stats are a must!

Don't know how you'd do battle times or "who wins" unless you just look at per-player damage/kill/capture statistics. That would work, but it'd really only tell you who spent the most money on swarm missiles.
You really can't say how long a station is "held" for a couple reasons: Who actually owns the station? Everyone on the owner key? There's no defense anymore, it's all about re-capturing the dock.
Maybe down the road if they ever flesh out the key system to allow guild ownership or put conquerable stations in as part of the Deneb war.

I say just record it by the key's unique ID number, and then display the ownership by the key's name, possibly with the ID after in parentheses (to distinguish keys with identical names).
So basically, make it impossible to keep a lid on who has owner keys to what station when? That's kinda harsh.
There's also the whole problem that keys can have different names for each player. Whose do you use? The system-generated one when it was first created?

Sorry, I guess I wasn't quite clear. By ownership, I meant "key that owns the station", not "players that own the key". In other words, the stats would only show key names, not player names.

This I wasn't aware of. Use the name set by the person who has owned the key longest for now, until people can name stations properly.

The stations DO have names. They're Pelatus Mining Station, CONQUERABLE STATION, and Bractus IX Planetary Outpost.
I rather like having the ability to name keys per-player. It makes it so people can change them to something meaningful to them like "Keys BR1 gave us by accident lol" or "PA took this Monday"

You could just list the guild composition of the players on the current key as a percentage and plot that over time using timestamps
What's stopping you? don't you already have alts in all the major guilds?
First, we need a decent KEY system, supporting Guilds and "Alliances". We have a draft so far, without support for guilds...
Next, quite simple to track what we have now:
* Every time the station is CAPTURED is considered an ownership change and logged.
* Next, both the player who captured and the key implemented should be tracked.
* Add all player kills/deaths in each station sector.
Stats provided.
