Use own Turrets, again
As Incarnated requested, let's resume here discussing Turrets on capships:
The simplest solution is allow us to use our own turrets, leaving cockpit and entering turret. You open PDA as you do now, [Tactical] Tab then turrets are there. Just like it appears for gunners.
While pilot is using a turret the ship remains in DRIFT mode. Or parked, if speed=0.
Already proven not a game-breaker, even Devs said before it is not that hard as all modules are already present, so, why can't we use it yet? (Not AI AutoTurrets, but regular ones, manned. And I remember at least two devs say that using own turrets wouldn't be that hard to implement).
Only caveat here may be if other players are present, how to avoid them from becoming pilot. As an initial implementation, simply require only a single player per ship to unlock this feature, i.e., if any gunner/passenger is present, pilot cannot leave pilot's seat.
Later, a decent key system will separate owner/pilot/gunner/passenger roles.
The same feature must be extended to small ships with turrets also!

I'm not sure what you're asking here. I've already said we'll do this, and referenced that on the thread you chose to revive on General.
The whole "even Devs said before it is not that hard as all modules are already present, so, why can't we use it yet?" thing is tiresome and BS. Even if someone said that (and they never have to my knowledge.. and we've talked about this internally in the last couple of weeks), it was probably stated myopically and without much thought towards some of the parallel issues that we have to handle. There are lots of things that can be "fixed easily" that create 10 other problems that are more complex to fix. Programmers often don't think about actual gameplay usage, or ramifications of changes.
So, if this is just irritability over "WHY ISN'T THIS DONE YET?" I don't have anything positive to add beyond what I've already said. Basically not everything is as trivial as you wish it was, and we've had a lot of other priorities.
But, like I already said on the previous ranty thread asking why this wasn't done yet, we'll look into it as soon as we can.

I think he's being confused by your linked earlier reply focusing on the potential hardships of AI-controlled turrets on PC piloted ships. What he's saying here is he just wants to be able to leave the pilot chair and jump into a turret on his own ship as a PC-turret gunner.
Thx for translation, Lecter... All elements of code already there to use own turrets, as we already can open PDA, or use someone's else turret. Unlike AI-turrets, undoubtly way more complex.
Yes, what we're going to do is allow people to control their own turrets. That's what I also meant in that other thread, not AI-turrets. But it does still present some challenges.
