New Capitol Ship: Carrier

There should be a carrier-class ship in the game. Here are the stats:

Armor: 4000000
Cargo: 160
Weapons: 15 turrets (8 swarm turrets, 7 capital gauss turrets)
Mass: 5500k kg
Length: 680 meters
Thrust: 19000 N
Max Speed: 45 m/s
Spin Torque: 19000.0 Nm
Turbo Speed: 190 m/s
Turbo Energy: 50/s
Docking Bays: 5

The carrier should be able to ferry 20 ships: 5 bombers and 15 other ships. For example, an Itani carrier can carry 5 bombers, 7 valkeries, and 8 Border Gaurdians (there's an NPC for that that exists right now actually, it's just called that though, not an actual IBG). A Serco carrier should be able to carry 5 bombers, 7 proms, and 8 SVGs.

Is good idea .....but for after 1.9vol .....not for now....now the game need to have atleast 1 type of Trident Cap ship in stations market for selling and Players Auction Market....

You forgot perhaps the most important stat for a carrier: number of docking bays.

By docking bays I meant the number docking/launch ports to simultaneously launch and recall ships. I did not mean the number of hangars to store ships.

It'll still be 20 for the traffic into it not to get congested.

5500kg? Do you mean 5500k kg?

Kindly provide a 3D model so we can see how you might fit such an absurd number of docking bays on a ship.

Oh thanks Nahin, I blame the vo-wiki for that error.

Also, a carrier should have the ability to launch all it's ships simontaniously. If not, then 5 is fine.

For player capships yes. The Trident Type M can only have 4 ships docked. (one per turret)

The shield power should be between a HAC and a Connie. Is there a unit thing for this? I could edit the post to include the shield force.

My vote remains 3 Specializations for Tridents - before we can have 3 new ship models:
--Freighter: no shields, autoturrets, 4 docking slots, largest storage bay.
--Carrier: Shields, manual turrets, 16 docking slots, smallest storage bay +1 OP
--Flagship: Shields, autoturrets, 6 docking slots, small storage bay

I think a HAC has more turrets, thus can cary more players. A ship called a carrier should be able to carry more.

Maybe a carrier should be big and slow. No faster than say 60 m/s. Lots of armor

Don't limit by the type of ship but by total docking space. Therefore can carry more vultures than moths. Maybe can carry one trident and one other small ship, or a crap-ton of vultures.

Back when Tridents were about to be released I insisted on that idea, that docking bays should have Xcu of capacity, and number of ships able to dock depends on ship's size. We already have 3 categories of small, medium, large ships (100,200,300 cu), but for sure Moths should use 400cu!

The fear back then was about cargo capacity, as capships back then had unlimited docking bay, so a Guild could pack 20+ XCs inside a trident and have a safe journey across the grayspace...

Today I think we should have both limits enforced, docking slots and ship's storage, i.e, at most N ships or Xcu total, whatever fills up first.
