Trade Mission Clarification for Newbies

Jun 10, 2013 Helena Lycia link
Trade missions often require a player to venture beyond their home nation's borders. Although this is something that players learn to deal with fairly quickly it could be quite helpful if missions warned a player if a mission involved leaving their home nation space (or crossing any national border).

Q: Are there any mission benefits (profit or XP) for missions that cross national borders beyond that related to the number of wormholes involved? Maybe missions across borders should give a higher reward due to increased risk.

The excitement of getting blown up by a pirate or enemy nationalist is totally a benefit!

Doing risky work for factions where you're not Admired carries the additional reward of a standing boost.

But is crossing a nation border on a trade mission considered "risky"?

(I'm not suggesting that there should be a big benefit for established players but maybe something extra for those under license 3)

Let's take a quick look at the nation borders we have:

Deneb/Geira - War zone front. Serco station on one side with capship patrol. Unmonitored dead space on the other side.
Nyrius/Edras - This is a grey space wormhole where someone can kill you without consequence. Counts as risky.
Jallik/Edras - Same as above, plus Serco military activity during blockades. Also counts as risky.
Azek/Latos - Also a grey space wormhole. Unmonitored. Same gig.
Arta/Ukari - This one's fairly well defended, at least near the wormhole. UIT guarded, but since the rest of the system isn't UIT space, somebody could ambush you here then they're only one jump to safe haven at Xang Xi or Aeolus.
Initros/Ukari - Like Edras I-2, this is an unmonitored wormhole and the site of Itani military blockades.
Pyronis/Helios - Probably the safest one. Heavily defended Serco stations on both sides of the wormhole. Probably the safest one if you have Serco standing.

Crossing a nation's border means you're leaving "protection" and putting your ship at risk for the sake of hauling some widgets. It's more of a risk if you're not already established.
