Nerf border turrets
And please, remove the instant respawn.
+1 to delaying the respawn.

This is all thats needed really, reduction in speed of supermissiles

Also, I think the different WH's should have different levels of defense.
nation border and capitol wormhole: high (like it is now but with nerfed missiles)
"hinterland" wormhole: lower (maybe half of what it is now)

I can see the instant respawn being a terrible idea--anyone should be able to mow the grass, if for some crazy reason they wanted to do it.
But the problem is that these are really stupid defense systems, and the only reason they're at all effective is their ridiculously OP nature. The devs are either unable or unwilling to invest the resources to develop a skill-dependent way to defend borders, so we're likely stuck with either no real border defense, or, the current system where it's basically a dice-roll as to whether you warp in and get blown away instantly or get clear.

Well it would be fun to blockade Jallik directly rather than Edras by killing all turrets and camping between the WH and the station, killing new turrets as they spawn and all PCs as they undock or warp in. Gives almost the feeling of conquest...
Get rid of the missile turrets all together and change the gauss turrets to neutron turrets. Then you wouldn't have to swarm spam them and a skilled pilot could dodge the neutron fire while taking down the turret
Or they could swarm spam them totally unmolested because neutrons only go ~500m. \o/
"This is all thats needed really, reduction in speed of supermissiles" While that would be a good thing, it definitely isn't the only nerf to border turrets we need.
Abortretryfail I was assuming the devs would tweak the distance of the neutron fire for the turrets
Their velocity is too low to accurately hit anything outside 300m with autoaim such as the AI uses. Increasing the velocity would be necessary, making it impossible to dodge them at close range...
Gauss turrets are already tough enough and will kill anyone that stops moving or turbos in a straight line. Just get rid of the missile turrets and see where the game stands then. If it's too easy to border raid add a single missile turret to wormholes that shouldn't be easy to raid (entrances to capitals), and scale up from there if it's still too easy.

The solution to having long-range turrets that are dodgeable up-close is to give them high projectile velocity but narrow auto aim and slow rotation.
My only gripes about the current border turrets are that they respawn too quickly, and that their target acquisition happens too quickly - they should not be allowed to open fire on you until after you have control of your ship.

+1 to Rin.
Same.
+1 to not acquiring a target till we can control our boat.
