Change guild pages
The Guild page should exclude from the members totals those members who have not logged in for a certain time such as 1-2 years or something like this.
Nothing drastic but if someone has not logged in for 5 years their guild membership should not show on the members totals list on the main guild page.
Not any auto kick or anything like that but just totals on the main guild page
I think that these totals could attract new players to the guild based on their expectations that they may have a higher probability of seeing other guild members online and this may or may not be the case at all. Especially if there are multiple alts and old members that have not signed in for 5 years or something.
I think this could give new guilds a disadvantage with attracting new members IMO

Only if the members are still visible on the Guild page, but faded out in some way to indicate they're no longer active. There's no other official place which lists all the members in a guild.
+1 slime
Update goes through.
-> TGFT only has 10 active members
-> TGFT only has 10 active members
That's still more than most guilds have. As retarded as they are, they are a successful guild.
I agree with slime73 on this one. Some guilds, of which TGFT is one, do attract older subscribers some of whom for RL reasons only log in on a sporadic basis. It has always been the policy of TGFT to metaphorically keep a light on for such members; we are very careful about the way we maintain long term access to our own forums.
Personally I think it would be a good thing if VO adopted the same attitude. Grey them out if you wish but keep the name and guild status there.
I know of at least one account which is being kept alive by surviving children in memorium. There may be others.
I expect the usual flames to this thread. I trust the devs to recognise when I am making a serious point; this is one of those times.

+1 slime (since Ecka said pretty much the same thing)

to greying out pilots that have not logged in for over a year
in Jumpgate we named new sectors after players that died
just a thought

Fading them out is cool too, but emphasize the main guild page should not count them in the members totals
The main guild page has the guild totals it could just show active totals and leave the individual guild page alone too.
Either way or both.
