Tractor beams and Sub-sector Nav
I would love to see some type of tractor beam system for the purpose of collecting dropped loot. It would be a lot less time consuming if I could just fly within a proximity and just tractor all nearby items simultaneously! or pick and choose one item out of a group.
Also It would be wonderful if there was some way I could navigate within a sector other than using "terrain" association (really freakin hard in space lol). maybe divide the sectors into quadrants or even use the alphanumeric Lat/Long on smaller scale? it would help out tons when mining or setting up rendezvous sites among other things.
Thanks.

+1 to both... but the 1st seem difficult, b/c loot in space never had movement.
The 2nd... yes, please, I'd love to have sector MAPS. As it is a 3D environment, maybe it would be necessary 3 different maps, for plans XY, XZ and YZ. Or just a XY map in perspective with elevation of asteroids and other stuff.

Or instead of having everything fed to you on a silver spoon, you could learn how to fly like everybody else.
If you're on mobile, which apparently defaults to the 3rd person view for some silly reason, try switching to 1st person view. (Sorry, don't know the mobile interface enough to tell you how). It's a lot easier to do pretty much everything in 1st person, especially scooping loot and fighting other ships.
It would be kind of neat to be able to zoom in on the nav map to see a blown up static 2d view of the sector taken from above the orbital plane (same as the map of the system). Initially, only maps for monitored sectors should be visible. You should have to unlock the maps for unmonitored sectors by actually visiting them.
For future reference though, you should generally post separate threads for separate ideas.

Noted, I will make sure to do so in the future. Thank you for that explanation.

I'm not expecting the silver spoon treatment here, but this is the suggestion forum, and I have noticed that the devs are certainly open to suggestions, evidenced from the load screen announcements and the existence of this forum. (Awesome involvement with users btw I love it.) I'm not implying that the current method of acquiring loot is in any way flawed, or that I am having any kind of trouble maneuvering my craft (WSAD + Mouse is not hard to master ;) and touchscreen is hardly challenging)
For those of us who do a lot of loot grabbing it would be helpful. I thought about it once when I was doing just that and submitted my idea, seems fair enough to me. It is my understanding that user suggestions are encouraged and welcome here so,... here are my suggestions. If they are implemented then great! If not then I will continue to enjoy the game as I have been and be happy that at least I have the opportunity to submit my ideas and be thankful that someone actually reads it. :)

It's easier to grab loot with bigger ships you know. You can grab a whole blob of hive drops with a Behemoth and it's hard to miss things flying a damn Trident...
The careful aiming it requires to pick up loot at speed becomes a skill that adds to tense cargo-retrieval situations. Eventually you get very good at picking up loot, and it won't be an issue.
Meh, these suggestions aren't very useful to overall game play. There's other stuff the devs could work on.
Don't be so lazy haha.
why do bots drop pointless cargo ......who wants 12 ishic ore
If I kill a bot it drops something I want or it does not .... why all the crap ?
If I kill a bot it drops something I want or it does not .... why all the crap ?
Because it would be retarded for a mining bot to not drop the ore it was mining.
Because the ore was in the bot's cargo hold? Might be a bit of a stretch........but it's plausible..........
After all, it's not like we drop.....wait...............

Sector Nav? You mean like THIS?
@Conflict Diamond
I'd like this center navpoint, but I'd prefer a full cartesian plane ploted in my view, from where I can tell others where I am. Even if it's limited to a certain size around the sector center.
Then, by selecting something, a line is ploted from the object to this plane, showing it's elevation.
It could be a visual mode to be turned on/off.
Er... should have posted it in a separated thread?
edit: just read all posts on that "Center Navpoint" thread, and there is this sugestion there, already.
/me wants to do a thread necromancy over there :)
