Please allow iPad cut/paste and native keyboard
Hi. I would like to make a simple suggestion that would help out iPad players ... a lot.
The default keyboard in the VO client is not the iPad keyboard. It actually makes the game a lot harder to play.
It also does not allow for cut-and-paste.
The nice thing about the iPad keyboard is it allows for text autocorrect. This would be a great help in playing. Another nice thing is it allows cut-and-paste which would be very helpful for, say, having the "Welcome to the sector. Stop your ship and drop your cargo." ready to paste.
Another option would be to have the iPad client have pre-set text Macros available, which the user could change.
Hope this is helpful.

The devs haven't even got cut 'n paste to work with the linux client, You might as well wish for a giant pink elephant.
Could the devs please implement a giant purple elephant, just to screw with vskye
Do that, and make a floating zoo of purple animals and make them statutes of old Serco beasts of burden.
We used to basically have that (minus the colors). Then the devs broke it, and in typical lazy dev fashion, they never bothered to fix or even acknowledge the bug.
Also, cut/copy/paste DO work in the Linux client. Just use ctrl-x, ctrl-c, and ctrl-v. You don't have to (and cannot) do the whole drag-to-select-text routine. Just use the keys and they cut/copy the entire line. You can also paste with middle-click in typical Linux fashion.
No idea whether the mobile clients support that though.
