Change the end of mission trigger for escorts

The current escort missions end when all the ships dock (or warp out).
With the changes to the docking methods the escorts are taking a very long time to end.

Change the end of mission to trigger when all the ships arrive in the destination sector.

Waiting 15 minutes for a convoy to dock gets really boring really fast.

Please yes. This way I can get paid AND destroy and loot the convoy.

Change it to when the ships are inside the NFZ, and +1.

I was tempted to +1 it. But frankly, I already exploit the current escort system enough. I don't need even more options.

No consequence to killing a voy in its own back yard.... thats an exploit indeed but thats also a different fix.
This one is for the decent hard working pilots of VO :P

NFZ is a reasonable compromise.

Inside the NFZ, outside the NFZ, it's all good. As long as I can get paid and still pop a few moths for their cargos, I'll +1 this dumbassed suggestion any day of the week.

+1 to OP, with changes:

-Escort mission completes once all small ships are inside NFZ, and capships in destination sector.

Why? Sometimes the sluggish escort capship takes many minutes to leave sector, and it can hold itself even outside NFZ.

Related fixes also should include that Escort Capship carries NO CARGO, as it never delivers it anyway...

Lecter's already done a great job of pointing out why this is exploitable.

+1 to change it for small ships docking. Sometimes those capships get jammed on roids or station parts and take forever to jump out.

+1000 if transports undock from the station, dock with the capship, and unload it's cargo and it doesn't leave until it's empty.

I would agree, but make them empty seems much simpler than adding unload stage.

Despite adding load@depart + unload@destination changes would be really FUN and meaningful. I already proposed that, as "Convoy assemble stage", to avoid that old spread convoy issue.

Since we already gone OT:
1. Remove capships from existing escort missions.
2. Create a new "Large Convoy" class of missions, with at least one capship that get loaded/unloaded by auxiliary local ships, and other small ships fly in formation with that capship, since launch
3. Make all Convoy mission end when all convoy ships are inside NFZ.
4. Bonus if all capships are unloaded at destination, and if all cargo is delivered.
