Ban automated death taunts
Every time that I play vendetta, one of several players comes one who happens to have an automated... and basically, 'retarted' death taunt. You all know who I'm talking about. And what I'm talking about is the..
"You've been 'playernamed'!"
Either the people who use these need to get them set to go ONLY to the person they kill, or the messages/players need to be banned from the game entirely. Its a complete and utter waste of an already overloaded chatting system.

Changes to the chat system are already in the works. As you've noted, it is pretty rudimentary right now. In the meantime I suggest you
/ignore "player"
the offender. No players will be banned for this behavior. If it becomes a spamming situation (actually filling the chat box repeatedly with text) the offender could be muted.
I appreciate that you avoided a flamewar by not using the player's name.

Its not automated... ;-)

More than one person use them. Your not the only one Kastin. And typing to ignore each and every player that decides to use such a thing in the future will eventually become tedious as more and more people decide to play the game.
If /ignore is not an acceptable solution, then we are left with live 24/7 chat policing or the removal of the ability to keybind anything to the chat channel. 24/7 chat police is probably not going to happen anytime soon if at all, and people who insist on crowing about pk's will simply type their message the old fashioned way. I suspect that changes to the chat system will cut down on this in the future.
In the meantime, keep in mind that this is not a boxed game and online service that you have paid for. It is a testbed for a game engine and is inherently flawed and rough. In joining as a playtester, you accept and revel in these flaws as you go about your task of 1) discovering bugs 2) reporting bugs 3) having fun with what IS implemented.

Yes. In the mean time just feel free to mock them for being insecure enough to validate themselves over getting a pointless kill by binding an asinine phrase.
Death taunts are cool.
No.
Okay, I think we're done with this thread.
To summarize:
Some people dislike the "kill" binds and/or think they are lame. They are invited to /mute the offender
Some people like the "kill" binds. They will not be muted or banned unless it becomes a spamming issue or otherwise violates the chat rules.
