In random intervals in space, there should be historical makers. For example, if you warp into Divinian capitols there would be a sign that reads "This is the first terraformable planet James Armand found, however they had nor the resources or willpower to terraform it, thus they decided to move on" or in Bethesheee "This is the planet where one of the greatest warriors was born, Hokka Devalis" or "The first Serco colony on another planet," In Deneb O-3, the station description would read "This system is where the Order of Akan stopped the Serco assault, and saved the nation of Itan" and in Geira "This is where the one of our greatest attacks stopped. Never forget those who lost their lives in that battle." Then they could show videos of of the battle in the station, to spice it up a bit, ya know?
A statue of James Armand in the Itani-Pheorna/Setalli Shinas would be amazing. Maybe several float hulks of the ships lost in major battles, etc.

Projected low-res videos that hang in place like the GTS text would be neat.
