Energy weapon nerf
Not an absolute here but wanting a discussion on suppressing the autoaim capability on all energy weapon. I think it would reward real skilled energy pilots and largely take away the overpowered aspect of gauss III, plasma devastator, Advanced gattling turrets that create a real disadvantage for us flare spammers.

i think its time we remove all weapons except swarms
How about we just ram each other into oblivion?
Because the devs alrady nerfed collosion damage because we were killing people by ramming them.
I support the removal of all weapons except ADV rails. That is all.

Just give everyone 6 HD2(tm) mining beams and ban all weapons incase anyone gets hurt

Snake: The problem was that you didn't suffer faction penalties for ram-kills, since unlike firing a weapon there is no way to positively identify who was the aggressor and who was the victim. No, you can't just say, "The guy going fast was the attacker!", because then I could fly up in front of some trader who's in a moth and stop, making them crash into me since they're too heavy to redirect.
Not that I agree with nerfing it. Quite the contrary. I'm still pissed about that. It used to make getting too close to the enemy risky, because if you were almost dead you risked bumping into them and dying. And I like to pick fights while at low health, so that was something that did actually happen to me from time to time. It was awesome! And it gave ships that had run out of ammo something to do (e.g. try to ram the enemy, rather than just say, "Out of ammo :(" on sector and then sit there until he kills you, or try to run away to reload.)
