Basically, being able to search for commodities and equipment in stations. Losing that extra bonus because I can't find what I need in procurement missions is a bit irritating.

In the meantime, there is the Catalog plugin. Once installed, it will remember the offerings of any stations you dock at, letting you query it to find out where you can find various goods. (It also estimates the worth of items you see floating around, or via cargo scanners. It might also be able to compare the stats of ships and weapons, but I don't remember if I uploaded that version yet.

I've never had a problem finding something in a station. The sort by Type function is there to give you an alphabetical way to search.

I assumed he meant figuring out which station stocked X item, not finding it in the list.

Commodities are organized by cost, before you dock check your mission to see how much the item costs and you can find it quickly.
