New weapons
SO I was thinking a few nights back, we need a few more weapons.
Perhaps a bolt type weapon, with ammo, which explodes, at a proximity to, or after a certain distance has been travelled.
Sort of like a flare, but explodes at the end of its fuel life, much shorter fuel life.
I'd say slightly slower than a flare, an explosion radius of 50-75m, bolts the size of a plasma annihilator.
Damage, perhaps on a sliding scale, depending on how close you are to it?
2000-5000 damage.

You mean in place of a proximity sensor it uses a programmable fuse timer? The fuse timer is set on fire, so that if your current target is at 300m when you fire it, it will travel 300m and explode? Like Flak?

Rather than the automatic fuse setting that DE describes, I'd prefer the grenade approach - the timer starts ticking when you press the trigger, the projectile is launched when you release the trigger, and the projectile explodes when the fuse runs out, whether launched or not.
Alternately, invert it so that holding the trigger increases the fuse time.
