Turret PK's/XP should also count to the Pilots PK/XP stats

Feb 14, 2013 CrazySpence link
Reasons:

-Pilot's ship
-Pilots guns
-Pilots investment
-Pilot is keeping the turrets facing the enemy and avoiding death so the turret gunner can achieve the kill

Yeah its a given, but it sounds like something that will be fine tuned with the command interface for cappies.

I think pilots of ships with turrets should get some XP (and credits if in a mission) from kills made by their gunners, though not an equal amount (perhaps 50-75% of what the gunner gets).

PKs however, shouldn't be given to both. PKs have always been assigned to the person who achieved the killshot -- and only one person ever gets it. Providing a turret to shoot from should not garner the provider ownership of any subsequent PKs obtained by the gunner anymore than providing credits to someone should (i.e. if they use these credits to buy a ship and weapons and then kill someone).

Also, just because you kill someone from a turret doesn't mean necessarily that the pilot of the ship you are in had anything to do with the positioning of your turret to the enemy.

I think the turret PKs should only apply to the pilot if and when they become automated and are unmanned.

PK assists make sense (like in Deneb), but not PKs.

i like how you're all +1'ing a metric that doesn't exist outside of deneb and therefore have all been stricken from memory
