Android Client, Accelerometer, and Strafing
Quick shout out to Guild software for an amazing game.
One question / a few suggestions. Can you guys add the following options to the input settings?
Accelerometer
Touch to steer; Tilt to Strafe (X = Horizontal, Y = Vertical); Left / Right arrows roll.
Touch to steer; Arrows to strafe; Tilt to Accelerate; Pitch to roll.
And these as check boxes.
Shake to [Action]
[Action] being a drop down / combo box. Obvious choices are FA mode, tertiary fire, and toggle turbo.

Please delete if i posted this already.
We've asked for more flexible options for the on-screen and accelerometer controls before (maybe treat them like joystick axes?)
Doesn't hurt to bring it up again though. :)

As ARF already said, it's been discussed to some degree before. I tried to find the original thread, but it's avoiding me.
Now, it is technically already possible to do most of what you want. I don't think the client supports "shake" detection, but it is possible to manually change what each tilt axis does. That doesn't do most people a lot of good though, since it would obviously be nice to have the options in the default UI.
Ideally each tilt axis should be configurable similarly to each axis on a joystick, not the current limited option configuration.
The DroidButtons plugin will allow you to rebind the tilt axes in the meantime. Just be aware that the plugin is not supported by GuildSoftware.
