Make AutoFire only shoot when your target is in range.
Most energy weapons drop off around 500m from your ship. With AutoFire on, the game makes your ship shoot even if your target is way out of range. This wastes energy and makes it even harder to chase something down on an Android tablet.

AutoFire is already optional. Do you mean you think the range check should also be separately optional? I'm not sure what point there would be in not using the range checking, assuming it was implemented in a way that accounts for the relative motions of the two ships.
Even if it doesn't account for the relative motion of the two ships it'll be a whole heck of a lot less annoying than having your battery drain away firing in vain while your target is 2000m away like it does now.

So, I was flying the Trident around on Android yesterday and noticed my gatling turret didn't shoot until my target was around 500m away. Did you guys fix this w/o telling anyone?
You know, I was playing in a newbie sector the other day, and noticed it was distance limited too. But my brain is currently too fried to remember whether I asked Ray to fix this or not.
